The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Soulis Telemidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Piatas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adamantios Pioukas came out and tried to block the shot, but Kostas Piatas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theagenis Velis in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimitris Trichas saved Pallesviakos from getting behind. Dimitris Trichas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotos Siamantouras in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pallesviakos defense, Theagenis Velis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimitris Trichas. The Pallesviakos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitris Trichas should have stopped the shot. When Sotos Siamantouras came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Kraniá Dheskátis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sotos Siamantouras couldn't finish the play. Loukas Stoubos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dimitris Trichas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kostas Piatas to strike the kick off in the second half. Kraniá Dheskátis's Theagenis Velis came free and shot a quick shot against goal 54 minutes in the game, fortunately Dimitris Trichas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Theagenis Velis might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimitris Trichas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Theagenis Velis ran back to his position shaking his head. Aris Ntalaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dimitris Trichas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Manos Barlas sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Dimitris Trichas threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Manos Barlas this time. The audience was convinced that Sotos Siamantouras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dimitris Trichas was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Kraniá Dheskátis's Aris Ntalaras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitris Trichas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dimitris Trichas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theagenis Velis in the 74th minute of play. Kraniá Dheskátis were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Pallesviakos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lambis Adamiadis took the corner. Kraniá Dheskátis's Lambis Adamiadis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dimitris Trichas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Kraniá Dheskátis booed when Pallesviakos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Tassopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theagenis Velis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dimitris Trichas having to make a save. Dimitris Trichas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotos Siamantouras in the 80th minute of play. Dimitris Trichas made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Theagenis Velis sent off a good shot on target. Theagenis Velis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Trichas having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Theagenis Velis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitris Trichas. Pallesviakos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theagenis Velis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Kraniá Dheskátis's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
